This deviation started as a very different WIP I had 6 years ago after I first read the story. I finished now for two reasons: the Rurouni Kenshin live action movie comes out in August, and I also wanted to celebrate the memory of Hakubaikou.
Before I knew DeviantArt existed, around 2003, there was Hakubaikou's amazing work on her own website. Two days ago, I stumbled upon her DA only to find out she had passed away in 2009. Most people active in the Rurouni Kenshin fandom already know her name, and many people outside the fandom simply because she was incredible, but I wanted to spread the word further if I could for people to take a look at her account so that her influence will continue.
